Yes, unfortunately this is a problem with WinCE6 devices with 128MB memory. You could try this method and version at MobilePassion forums Guests cannot see links in the messages. Please register to forum by clicking here to see links.. This worked on my 128MB CE6 device. However you will need a mapsettings.cfg files from the map version you are using with a valid route set up. Unfortunately that is not made clear in the instructions.

Cheers, Ian

RE: out of memery on a CE6.0 incar GPS
I also am having problems with WinCE6.0 and TomTom. Same out of memory errors. Although the included IGO8 software is pretty good.

I also have the X10 Mid, but the GPS is so crap I don't use it I bought a cheap 7" Chinese GPS unit with a sirf IV chip, way way better than the crappy chip in the x10. The GPS aerial in the X10 is crap, apparently it's a design fault on some of the batches. It's very weak, also they don't use a good chip. Wasted $179 on it, the other unit I bought was only $134 but still brilliant for GPS. I just use the x10 now for ebook reading, even that was a pain to get working as you cant even install any software on it so I had to find a program that would run from the SD card.
