Guess I will have to get a antenna now for the laptop (GPS Receiver Sirf II )

It's Just the depth that varies.

Hi Geoff,

Thanks from me also,

Its Bloody Strange,I just bought a little Toshiba NB100 Yesterday,so we can have a computer when away,and today you post a PC version of Igo8

Looks like I need to look for an Antenna too.

Dell 5520 or 5530 wwan cards,.3G and gps. Antennas can be purchased for around AU$10 for these cards.

Works, sort of, but only with old maps - Australia R15 or older.

there is lots of other info in other threads on here,also note 8.3/ r17 etc maps dont work in pc version, in fact the pc version is not an oficial version, it was made for demonstration of igo8 at electronics shows etc, hobyists got hold of it and thus pc version was born, which is why it cant be oficially supported or bought. AFAIK it has never been cracked to use later maps because a lot of stuff in it is missing, thus ends my history lesson on IGO pc version.
By the way look for Spawns versions, good stuff.
